What you can do with Drag & Drop
Moving a single device
Simply grab the device and drag it to the desired location. The system will automatically update its position.
Moving a group of devices
Select multiple devices and drag them together. All selected devices will move as a group, significantly speeding up the organization of a large number of devices.
Assigning a zone and a category
Drag a device or a group of devices from the main dashboard directly onto a zone or category in the left navigation panel. The device will be automatically assigned to the selected zone or category without needing to open its settings.
Assigning a device to a specific dashboard
You can drag devices directly onto the chosen dashboard, specifying where they should appear. This is ideal for quickly creating a tidy control panel.
Adding devices to Smart Rules
When configuring Smart Rules, you can add devices with a simple drag from the list directly into the rule. This eliminates tedious searching and clicking.
Assigning in service settings
In the device service settings, you can easily assign input devices to the appropriate control modules. For example, you can drag the thermometer directly into the thermostat settings, which will automatically set it as the temperature sensor for that thermostat.
Tips and Tricks
- Selecting multiple devices – Use the Select button or long-press on a device to switch to multi-select mode. Then simply click the devices you want to select.
- Automatic opening while dragging – While dragging, hover the cursor over the item you want to open (for example, the name of a dashboard or a Smart Rule). The item will blink and automatically open, giving you access anywhere in the application where you want to place the device.
- Canceling an action – Press Esc while dragging to cancel the operation.
