Expose Devices
Overview
The Expose Devices section allows you to make devices that are part of your TapHome system available to other external systems, such as SCADA systems, Building Management Systems (BMS), or other supervisory control systems.
Important distinction: While the Compatibility section explains how to integrate external devices into TapHome, the Expose Devices section focuses on exposing TapHome devices to external supervisory systems.
How It Works
TapHome Control unit (Core) can provide information about devices to other control units or central building management systems. This communication is bi-directional, which means devices can both send status updates and receive commands from external environments.
To maintain a high level of security, you must explicitly enable this feature for specific devices. In Menu → Expose Devices , you can:
- Add devices from your installation to the exposed devices list
- Define interfaces for connecting TapHome with 3rd party systems
- Configure bi-directional communication with external systems
